THIS IS DEDICATED TO THE FANS OF “THE CUTTING EDGE” MOVIE When I
saw “The Cutting Edge” movie for the first time in 2003, I
became an instant fan, not only of the movie, but of Moira
Kelly. There was something about the chemistry between Doug and
Kate that drew me into the movie. After that, I saw the movie
many times and it now has become my favorite movie. When “The
Cutting Edge – Gold Medal Edition” DVD was released in 2006, I
decided to assemble the following materials:
“The Cutting Edge” script contains about 95% of the dialogue
and music from the movie. I used two original movie scripts to
set up the scenes.

“The Cutting Edge” continues with “Invincible” written by
Perri Smith and Copyrighted in 2002. It begins with Doug kissing
Kate at the end of the movie and continues past the Gold Medal
ceremony. I personally felt that this story was a great
continuation of the original movie, so I included it in my
materials. (The “Invincible” site is no longer available.)

“The Ice Rink – Music of the Cutting Edge Movie”. Two CD
soundtracks were released for this movie. The first CD, The
Cutting Edge: Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack, contained
10 songs from the movie and was released by Rykodisc on
September 29, 1998. The second CD, The Cutting Edge (Deluxe
Edition), contained the original 10 songs, along with 12 other
pieces of music from the movie and was released by Varese
Sarabande on October 5, 2004. While working on the script, I
realized that it would be nice to be able to know the name of
the music in the movie, so I inserted the name of the music and
which above CD it is on into the script at the point where the
music is played. The original “The Ice Rink” site had 14 pieces
of music identified. Although I was not able to finish
identifying all of the music from the movie, my material now
contains 35 pieces of music and where it is played in the movie.
