Premise: This ensemble drama tells a series of interconnected stories about the lives of four suburban families struggling with boredom, disappointment, and unhappy marriages. One of the stories, "A Real Doll" is about a boy who has a sexual relationship with a Barbie doll.

Filming: Production began on this movie on September 18th, 2000 with locations including Toronto and New York City, wrapping in mid-November, 2000.
